Text based editing creating small gaps in video

I am new to video editing and Premiere Pro. I started using text based editing a few months ago and did not have any issues with it. It seemlessly edited out video that I did not want. Now I am using Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 with text based editing. When I extract text and it edits out the video it creates a small gap between the video. When I try to close the gap under sequence menu, it does not work. 

Any ideas on how to have it extract the video without creating gaps?

The same thing happens to me and it seems to be infrequent. Is it because of the Beta version? Is there any adjustment to make?

I'm having the same issue. Worked perfectly for weeks and today its leaving gaps.

Anyone know what's going on?? Im using version 25.1
