Timecode and clip name effect have been moved to obsolete.

I dont have the new Meta data option either. This is a problem for playing out edit cutting copies.

Please help.

"Obsolete" means that at some point they will minimize it, and then later remove it. Things have typically been in the "Obsolete" designation for 3-5 years ... and still usable the entire time. So the full current use of those two effects will be around likely for some time.

It is wise of course to pay attention to the new kid on the block. So keeping up with the stuff in the public beta is a good idea. The way things have been moving, I think that metadata/timecode effect in the public beta will be in the regular version in the next couple updates somewhere.

And again, the old one should be available for some time yet.

They have announced a new time code effect or process somewhere ... look for it.

Thanks Neil.
Apparently it's a meta data effect that allows you to view selected meta
data as overlay. Unfortunately that also is not available to me. These
issues make it difficult to keep pushing premiere on features.
