Timeline dragging does not show a wireframe of clip position

See attached video. In one of my projects, performance in general is particularly bad (4k media mixed with mp4's in timeline I believe is the problem). But when you select clips and try to move them around in the timeline, the clips remain where they were shown. The clips are being moved, but you can't see them. Definitely a bug.

This is happening to me as well! I was experiencing this issue because of a nested layer. not sure why but when I delete the nested layer I no longer run into this bug, although when I go to make another nested layer I experience it again.

having the exact same issue. The issue popped up when I nested some footage and audio, as I have seen has been the case with others. Sequence > Render Audio fixed the issue for me also.... Adobe, please get on this, this is just adding time to my workflow, already frustrating enough having exporting compilation errors on every render these days...

Lots of temporary workarounds and "maybe it works for a while" fixes posted here, all appreciated, but...FIX THIS, ADOBE!
