Triming causes hard crash in nvoglv64.dll - Premiere 14.2

Since I installed the 14.2 update of Premiere CC 2020 the application crashes when I trim (grab the edge and move it left or right):
- an effect (like crossfade / blend)
- a videofile
- an image
- a soundfile

When it crashes then the application first becomes unresponsive, and a few seconds later it just disapears, there is no "Permiere Pro has crashed / send crash report" window - it simply disappears. The logsfolder in C:\Users\bns\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro is also empty.

System:

Windows 10 v1909
Ryzen 3700k
Nvidia 2800Ti (445.87)

I found out that the crash only occurs with "Mercury Playback CUDA", it does not occur with "Mercury Playback Software".
HOWEVER before the update to 14.2 I always used "Mercury Playback CUDA" without issues.

As there are no logs from Premiere, here is what the eventlog has to say about the crashes.

I have the same problem. Trimming crashes to desktop. Any solution yet ? If I change the program monitor to Multicam, it doesn't crash though. Strange bug and very annoying.

When I use the "Mecury Playback Engine Software" instead of "CUDA" then it does not crash anymore.
But that is a nasty workaround.

Try deleting your cache, I have to at every update:

• Start PP from it's normal desktop icon (IE: don't open from a project file link).
• Close the Open/Home screen (and you will be in PP without a project open).
• Go into Edit/Preferences/Media Cache (Mac users adjust menu name)
• Then Press: Remove Media Cache Files: and Delete...
• Select: Delete all media cache files from the system and OK
• Close PP - It will create any needed cache files on the fly as you edit.
