troubles recording audio In Premeir Pro 2020 through the internal microphone

I have not been able to record audio using the trackmixer record bttons or track record buttons in 2020 but can still do so in 2019 - though it hass let me do intermitently. Does anybody have a fix?

We're going to need a little more information than that. What have you done to work on this problem? Do you have a microphone set in your Preferences>Audio Hardware? 

Is the little microphone icon in your sequence greyed out or is it white and clickable?

Yes as always. As I mentioned 2019 works, 2020 isn't working since i updated the apps yesterday.
