Unknown error while opening project

Hello guys!

First of all the specs:

Premiere Pro CC 2017 11.1.2 (updated today)

MBP Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015

macOS Sierra Version 10.12.5

2,5 GHz Intel Core i7

16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

As I try to open my recent project the message "An unknown error occured while opening the project." pops up.

I've check a few forums and tried other recommended steps:

1. Opening Auto Save Project - failed.
2. Creating new project, importing defective project - failed.
3. Tried to open on another machine - failed.
4. Deleted all render files to force re-rendering - no effect.
5. Forced Premiere to re-register all the plug-ins - no effect.
6. Cleaned out cache in Premiere preferences - no effect.

Is there any way to solves this problem or can someone somehow fix the project file?

May be try starting a new project and then navigating Media Browser to the project that you're having problems with. Find the sequence for the project, double click on the sequence and see if the old timeline will open in your new project.

If this works you could copy the old time line, create a new timeline in the newer project and paste the old time line in to the new project.

Unfortunately this ends in the same way as trying to import the old project into a new one. So it failed as well...

I have the same problem. Lost about 5 hours work. Using an iMac Pro.

Auto saves don't work either.

Deadline in 5 hours. Thanks Adobe.
