Video creation data Sony A7 not used.

I have Video Clips from my Sony A7II. When I import them into Lightroom, the "Shot Date" is loaded as "Video Metadata" and used correctly as "Capture Time"

2016-12-24T21:12:56+1:00

When I load the same Clip into PremierePro 2018 and save the Clip as MP4, then the "shot date" is lost. When I load this PPro file into Lightroom, the "capture date" is set to the date when PPro created the said file.

How do I have to work in PPro to retain the "shot date" as "capture date"?

Hi joachims25232702,

How exactly are you importing your media into Premiere Pro?

Are you using the Media Browser? Importing media files into Premiere Pro

Thanks,

Kulpreet Singh

Dear Kulpreet,

I simply do "add media" or "import" (or similar, I am not in front of PPrem) into a new project.

(I tried the same withe Premiere Elememts and it does not work there too)

Meanhwile I saw that Ppro does not embed Meta data in MP4 files but does only Sidecars there. I am not sure if LR reads those sidecars, so trying another export option (which one?) may help.

That behavior is expected.  The MP4 has the correct date, when it was created.
