Video glitching after export

Hello!

Upon exporting a project of mine, certain shots glitch out after export. They play perfectly fine while editing. Everything else in the project exports smoothly.

I'm exporting at h.264, 1080p, 25FPS, VBR 1 pass.

I'm pretty confused, I haven't encountered a problem like this in nearly 6 years using Premiere Pro. I'm pretty stumped and desperate.

Any help at all goes a long way. Thanks!

Make sure to use Field Order to progressive. This should solve the issue.

The effect you are seeing is 'optical flow' freaking out trying to slow footage with strobe lights applied. Everytime the light goes out 'optical flow' is trying to track all the pixels in the previous frame to the dark frame - which it is never going to be able to do. You are probaly not seeing this prior to export as you may be watching it 'unrendered' in the sequence?

Solution: change your 'Clip Speed / Duration' settings to either 'Frame Sampling' or 'Frame Blending' instead of 'Optical Flow' for any shots with a strobe light in them.
