Video Keeps Cutting to Black

Hi,

I've recently opened another project that was created by someone else and I get this message: (Missing Video Filter: Looks). At certain points, the screen cuts to black when playing the video and I've been unable to fix. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looks is 3rd party softeware/plugin from Red Giant/Maxon.

Thank you for the response! Here's some additional info below. And in terms of effects, nothing stands out to me. It's an animated video if that helps. Fairly new to this and trying to catch up

Issue – Video Keeps going black
Steps to reproduce – Open a project created by someone else, pop-up occurs that reads (video filter missing: looks)
Expected result – Video should play smoothly
Actual result – Video keeps cutting to black
Adobe Premiere Pro version – 2025, just updated
Operating system – macOS, sequoia 15.5

Welcome to the community! As Ann Bens suggested, it might happen if a third-party plugin used in the original project is not available on your system. Please check with the creator of the project to verify the details about the third-party plugin used. Also, is this animated video a rendered video or an Ae comp/mogrt?
