is anyone able to explain to me how i managed (or premier did) to get my video in darkness and upside down ? this happened twice to me yesterday while trying to edit a video for a client (im new to videography - just expanded my photography business).
It happened after i lowered the audio gain and then tried to use the denoise function. It did the same thing earlier in the day with i tried to use a cross dissolve
any help would be greatly appreciated

Does your sequence settings match the footage: something is off, see red render bar. Should be yellow.
What does the red exclamation mark (bottom right) tell you?
Also audio is way to loud.
Check audio hardware in preferences and set input to None to begin with.

As mentioned, we do need more info here including the hardware configuration (laptop?) etc.
If you look in: File>Project Settings>General Do you have GPU acceleration options enabled?
Would be good to verify that your GPU drivers are updated.

hardware is a 4 year old hp desktop with amd6 dual core, 16 gig of ram with a brand new 480gig ssd - installed last week and then premier pro installed..
i had to go to other job so didnt check the exclamation mark - i just shut it all down - and havent opened it since (moved on to photography jobs i have to finish)
audio is to loud because i had the gain to high on the mic - first time using it - so had reduced audio gain a few db and then was attempting to use the denoise function to get rid of a bit of the static
