View Gamma adjustment only affects the program monitor and not the video stream

Hi, I have been dealing with this issue for a long time now and cannot find a solution. When using Color Management, and setting the Viewer Gamma to either "Web" or "Quicktime", it only affects the Program Monitor and not the Video Stream to an external HDMI monitor. The external HDMI monitor seems to be locked to the 2.4 Gamma option. Because of this, I cannot use my external monitor to color correct my videos for web and social media platform posting. Please fix this!

I'm thankful that staffer Dani has commented on this, as I've seen several posts about this problem over the last couple months.

I cannot replicate on my system, which is a PC, so I'm wondering if this is a Mac specific issue. Or something else that simply doesn't affect my system perhaps.

But glad to see they're aware of it. Which means they are probably working on fixing that because it's a right royal PAIN.

The viewer gamma setting only seems to affect the program monitor but not the playback of the transmit device.

is this a bug?

What's your hardware involved? OS, computer, GPU, and monitors? Are you using a breakout device other than your GPU, like maybe a Decklink card?

I have a Mac Studio M2 Max on Sonoma 14.4.1 Premiere version is 24.3. I am simply connecting to a Dell monitor with a USB-C cable, without any decklink card.
