What does "A low-level exception occurred" when using Morph Cut in Premiere Pro 2020 mean?

I've used Morph Cut without issues in the past, but now I am getting a dialog saying "A low-level exception occurred in  AE>ADBE MorphCut (GPUVideoFitler::Render) when I drag the filter onto a transition.

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

Sorry that I didn't mention that I am on a Mac.  I passed your suggestion on to our IT department, and they said that those options are not available on my machine.
