What is the difference between the sequence and the media encoder Time Interpolations?

What is the difference between the sequence and the media encoder time interpolations? What to I do for the final render in the encoder if I have different time interpolations in a sequence? Do I pick "use previews", if the time interpolation has some clips using Frame Blending and others using Optical Flow in the timeline?  And then what would I pick for the time interpolation in the drop down box in the media encoder?

In the sequence its clip based; used when making e.g. slomo's

In AME its sequence based; exporting to a different framerate.

So what interpolations would you recommend in AME when outputting a sequence that has both Frame Blending and Optical Flow clips in the timeline?

And would you "render previews" so that the multiple frame interpolations is maintained?
