when are adobe going to come out with user friendly way of creating subtitles?

just wondering this

the method for creating subtitles in premiere pro is flawed.   for example, if i have a full length documentary with subtitles, and i want to change the font,i have to open each clip individually and change it....that could be 500 clips.  i also cannot put a black box behind the text to make it easier to read, there is no option for that.

when i ask for advice from friends and other film makers, im told to use other software

so, my question is,  when exactly are adobe going to realise this and create a feature within adobe premiere that enables the user to create and edit subtitles quickly and efficiently?

hope my question does not appear arrogant but i do find it frustrating that a world class editing software such as premiere can be so lacking in this area, in fact its so difficult to believe that im kind of hoping someone will chime in and point  out what i am missing.
