Hi, I couldn't find similar issue here or on Google.

I have an issue, which didn't occur on previous installations I had.

When I want to cut the clip in the timeline, I usually use shortcut Ctrl+X to cut the clip.

Usually it worked, but suddenly, now when I use the shortcut, the whole clip is deleted.

The same happens when I press right mouse button and choose "Cut".

I tried also reset all preferences, but without success.

Any suggestions please? Only option what I have now is razor tool, which I hate to use.

Ctrl+X removes the selected item, it eXtracts. As in disappearing from the timeline.

You do not use the shortcut for cut but rather Add Edit.

Try Ctrl+K next time.

BTW Ctrl+X is a very common shortcut, used in almost every software program

Thanks a lot! I would swear I used the Cut function. But long time I haven't done editing in Premiere and my brain is not bright as it was.
