I clicked on that link and it brought me here, but not seeing anything really that says it's a beginners forum specifically.... would like to find that if possible. Thanks! D

There isn't a beginner's forum for PrPro ... just this one. But we've all been beginners at one time, and know what it's like. This app, like Resolve, Avid, Baselight ... is complex and complicated. And designed for full manual control by the user. The beginning learning curve is steep, but do understand ... it only gets steeper later on. And I'm not kidding.
We're used to beginners popping up here. Feel free to ask anything ... the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. But also, check out their help system. It's at times clunky, some things are left out ... but it's better than it was. There is both some half-decent documentation and some video tutorials.
I do recommend besides reading a bunch of things "here", that people either work in person with an experienced editor or get a month or two of subscription time with say LinkedInLearning, and go completely through several of their PrPro tutorial series. Download the practice projects/media, and work along. Saves you a ton of time.

Hi Neil,
Thank you so much for the message, and the super fast answer! Adobe has outdated info about the Beginner's Forum, oh well, that happens.
I know PremierePro is a completely different type program than InDesign and Photoshop, which I've used since their inception, and that steep learning curve you mention is definitely real, but I'm determined to learn. And I will watch tutorials, and I'm sure, I will post some questions.
Kind regards, Debbie

Debbie,
Welcome to the group. Yea, it's a steep learning curve, and its a totally different app and mind-set than stills work. I came into video with 30 years or so of pro stills work, including running a full color lab with staff besides our studio. And then going digital and working in P-shop and Lightroom.
It was so bizarre at first, working in PrPro compared to the other two apps. Now, I can hardly find my way around in them. The apps, the process, the thinking patterns are entirely different.
But it's a blast to do, I must say!

telling a story is the main thing... visual story. with sound if you want, color or b&w, etc.
the edit program just lets you do it on desktop powful enough. the video source files typically match sequence and export ( with variations ).
in old days you needed very powerful editing equipment, but now it is very more fluid, open to young people and fancy effects and so on.... in editor progam.
learning how to edit is learning how to tell a story.
focus on that and deal with basics.
a) source matches sequence
b) use slates and good shooting material for your computer.
tell me story I like.
