Premiere Pro needs to ability to set the Color Space and Gamma of individual sequences. Rec 709 for HD, Rec 2020 for UHD, P3 for Cinema work, etc.

There does need to an an HDR switch for Color Spaces that support it.

Mercury Transmit needs to respect those settings and output without alteration or conversion.

Premiere is seriously lacking in this area. Having to use workarounds to convert one gamma to another, legal full range/vice versa is frustrating, especially knowing that Resolve does it so easily.

Why is there no HDRx workflow in premiere? To use HDRx you have to do it in Davinci Resolve, and the process of jumping back and forth between the two is a nightmare.

RED and Arri are the main two cinema-grade camera systems for film and commercial. Of those only RED offers a dual video track for HDR exposure improvements. So it's pretty important for people working in the industry to be able to work with it in the edit.

At this rate, I might have to bite the bullet, learn Davinci, and be done with adobe, like so many other video professionals I know.

Premiere should have at least the same functionality as After Effects in terms of color management.

This is a must, as HDR is starting to become a new standard. I need a proper way to manage color spaces!

The lack of support for color management has made me stop using premiere.

Yup, this is a glaring oversight, if this is to be considered a professional solution.

I completely agree. Someone bump this up and vote to push this to the front page. As much as I love Davinci for coloring, for projects that I edit on Premiere, it'd be nice to keep everything in the program instead of exporting LUTs from Davinci Resolve and then into Premiere. Since Adobe is already pushing ******* Lumetri Color and they killed Speedgrade, they need to port some of those advanced options on the next release.
