PremierePro Audio Silence Detector

Just like the "Scence edit detection",
an "Audio Silence Detector or Detection" detects silences or the absence of audio wave.
(Maybe like "Analyse" in Audition!)

This feature will facilitate the life of a video editor when the audio talent has looong pauses between words [IN ANY LANGUAGE] without the text edit transcription option..
I'm still shortening these pauses manually... it is time consuming and exausting ;(

Thank you for your consideration!

Great job Adobe. Yes I am sarcastic...

Davinci Resolve 20.2 made it happen with its "Ripple Delete Silence option"

Check it out, maybe you'll be able to finally bring it to Premiere!

Hey JM2017,

Thanks for the note. I'll move this into the Ideas forum. I think that's the right move for this thread.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi JM,

Check out text based editing. That feature is available now.

Thanks,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin,

As I stated in my original post: it does exist in "text based editing" BUT

1- it'll involve so many steps like "transcribe" to reach it..

2- it'll need a recognizable language..

My request was for a simpler command, UNRELATED to languages, based on audio wave, simple like the "Scence edit detection"!

Best

Watch this "Precut demo" UNRELATED to based on text edit; Based simply on audio waveform.
