What DOES THIS MEAN?????

Why does the Search to attach proxies start searching from the very beginning of the entire file directory IN MY :C DRIVE? Why does it not immediately highlight or visually show/snap to the direct file it has found? I've already done the search for it, it's in :O, in this folder with this date-- why is it diving into my :C drive? I'm IN the folder highlighted to the left.

It doesn't tell me what it is, where it found it, any single bit of identifiable information to what I'm attaching my proxy to, where the file is, what it's named, how it found it, where it found it, what is the size, what is the filetype, what the actual hell it's even doing.

It just says:

Please give us more information. Please utilize some type of genuinely bright and obvious differentiation between menus, highlighted items and views to help us know what is going to happen next. If I'm importing into a current project, where the hell is that imported clip going? There is no identifier.

Please give us data to work with.
