Request for Enhanced Animated Caption Options and AI Features in Premiere Pro

Hi Everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well.|

I've been a dedicated user of Premiere Pro for quite some time and love the robust features it offers for video editing. However, I've noticed that other platforms, such as CapCut, Descript, and Opus, provide more advanced options for animated captions and AI-driven features.

Given the increasing demand for these functionalities, I find it somewhat inefficient to edit a reel in Premiere Pro and then export it to another program to finalize the captions. Does anyone know if there are plans to integrate more animated caption options and additional AI-driven tools directly within Premiere Pro in the near future?

I'm posting an update here because this is the "animated captions" idea that has the most upvotes - 7! In just a few minutes, I found the 10 Ideas/feature requests in the table below. None have any staff response, but since the new caption workflow was introduced in PR 2021, they've added text-based editing, conversion of subtitles to graphics text, style browser, and more on the way. I have to think this is on their radar. But it is competing with many other enhancements - just in the text/caption area.

The other Idea I would single out emphasizes the use of mogrts with enhancements for styling individual words/letters.

You can edit captions in the default Text panel and then animate your captions with .mogrts. This keeps the workflow entirely in Premiere Pro. Comes with 10 presets or you can DIY with custom .mogrts
