The feature is very useful to actaully edit with the keyboard. Adobe just thinks we use it only export a clip from the timeline but I use it all the time to select a piece of clip that I just cut, and hit batch delete from the keyboard and move one. No mouse at all, which is what gives speed to my editing workflow.
Now, when you mark a clip it does it changing the in and out of the timeline, which is unprofessional if you had already selected one. And another annoying thing is that if you had a clip already selected (with the mouse) when I hit detele it delets that and not the clip I hav supposodly marked.
This was a feature that we wre able to do in good old Final Cut 7, ¿remember? So I know it's possible.
A keyboard stroke, and you have your clip selected, delete and move on.
