Timeline track needs label color function (I want to color any track)

The ease of identifying tracks in the timeline is very important.

In the current situation, instead of the boundary line, I create a thin track.

I also divide the tracks according to the type of telop.

I think it would be very manageable if you could color the tracks.

Furthermore, when using many tracks, it is difficult to understand mute and solo with "switch only".

I'd like to have a net mark like when the track is locked, or a visual cue for the entire track once it changes color.

It would also be amazing to be able to drag and re-order audio tracks - When working with a lot of layers you sometimes need to reorder tracks to get a better sense of how two tracks interact. In one moment, you may be mixing your dialogue against your music tracks, but then if you've your sound effects tracks several layers down it's much harder to compare them visually with your dialogue tracks.

I like this idea - like a vertical colour stripe just to the right of the track number - functioning like a light switch too would be nice, as in lighting up in say bright red or green or chosen colour when the track is 'active' and going off when the track is muted or locked ? 🙂

Hi, it would make sense to have the default colors be an option, but the control to make them unique. Maybe the timeline colors can be hued differently so they don't blend with the clip colors. This would be a great feature though. Could only help bring distinction to the timeline. All for it.

I'll jump in with my thoughts. I think that both might be used by quite a few users. Options are always good, if they do require more code.

To me, it would be nice if there was a boundary or edge or something like that, for the track ... that we could set to a specific color that would be easy to see, but leave the individual clips with their label colors.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
