Uninterrupted playback, playing video or audio in the timeline, have the option of letting you jump to different spot in the timeline, while keeping it playing.
I am also (finally) switching from FCP to PPCC and am finding the (lack of) continuous playback cumbersome, inefficient and vastly annoying. Everyone interested in adding this feature should vote to have it added.
It is incredibly inconvenient to press space (play) every single time you jump in the timeline. It makes editing MUCH slower. How is this not an option!?...
I'd swear I've seen someone doing this on a Mac, is it still not an option?
Browsing the internet, I see this has been requested for at least 10 years, if not forever since Premiere existed.
WHERE'S ADOBE ON THIS FEATURE?? FCP7, FCPX and just about all other video editors do this!!!:*)
FCP7 and FCPX do this, it can cut editing time in half!:).
Basically, I want Premiere Pro to always be in PLAY, unless I hit the STOP/SPACE BAR, so that when I jump to any clip, or to any location in the timeline it just starts playing without having to hit SPACE BAR. This cuts out having to hit the SPACE BAR each time I jump to a different location in the timeline. I want to hit SPACE BAR to start playing and PP2021/2022 just be in PLAY mode, until I hit SPACE BAR again to put it in STOP mode.
This dramatically speed up editing, basically cutting editing time nearly in half! (Sort of.)
