When shrinking an audio clip, the mistake of grabbing the small rectangle of the fade handle occurs.

The fade handle function was added in the 24.4.1 update.
However, when controlling an audio clip with the mouse, you end up grabbing the fade handle when you want to grab the edge of the clip.
It should be made so that this doesn't happen by mistake, or it should be possible to turn the fade handle on and off.

I think this could be a useful feature for beginners as well, so it would be great if you could make it possible to toggle it on and off. I would really appreciate it!

初心者にとっては便利そうな機能でもあると思うので、オン/オフを切り替えできるようにしてもらえるのが一番ステキそうです。ぜひお願いします。

Agreed. The adding of the handles by default makes it difficult or tedious to grab what you want. Should be able to turn this on or off. I would never use that because I rarely, if ever, use keyframes with audio.

Upvoted. If there isn't an elegant way to integrate it, I would rather have the option to turn it off.

And Premiere 25 has the same thing and not fixed. Grabbig that handle all the time. No option to hide it. Another thing that bothering is new export window, that are introduced from Premiere 23 as i remember. As i reading it bothers everyone.

One useful workaround (I first discovered it with version 2024, not sure how long it's been there) is to hold down Command (on Mac; presumable Control on Windows) and lasso the cut point (s).  That selects them, allowing you to add a quick dissolve, perform a trim forward/backward by 1 or 5 frames, etc.  And Command + lasso will select the cut point(s) regardless of whether there's A/B material, or if there is "black" to the right or left of the cut point.

The audio handles on Premiere Pro are the single WORST IDEA ever made by Adobe. Please, for the love all things holy, get rid of these stupid handles. They are horrible. It makes editing audio ridiculously painful.

Get rid of these stupid things. If the beginner likes it, let them edit on beginners software.

AND...when trying to grab a clip to move it on the video side, I am constantly dragging that opacity line by mistake and lowering the opacity on a clip. Please give us the ability to turn this off. I can't imagine anyone who lowers the opacity on a clip this way if needed. Most of the time I catch that I have accidentally lowered the opacity, but there have been a couple of times when I've only noticed it after playback that something was off. This is not only an unuseful feature but one that is highly detrimental.

@gened78432486  Click the wrench icon, then turn off "Show Video Keyframes" (near the top of the menu), then no more accidentally changing the opacity of a clip.

I want and need the keyframes. What I don't want is the new handle they added in 2024 that makes it almost impossible to add and manipulate key frames.

A very annoying function without the ability to disable. It makes sense to give such new functionality for testing to those who work in the program every day, and not just create new functions without understanding whether they are needed at all or not.
