Community Beginner ,
Dec 31, 2020 Dec 31, 2020

I applied an alpha glow effect to an image in a video.

Line is green above track where effect is applied

I Export with H.264

High - 4.2

Maximum Depth

with Bitrate CBR with max at 40

after the video renders and I play in Quicktime the glow effect is no longer there...

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Well after two hours of trouble shooting a solution has been found...Exported the media under quicktime preset and then re-exported under H.264 settings...The logo now has a beautiful glow in the final mp4 video!

Glad you found a solution but often the cure for 'alpha' type problems is to turn off 'composite in linear colour' in the sequence settings.

I will definitely be trying that, that seems like a much quicker solution.
Thank you so much!
