Hi all,
i thoight that i created my after effects project and exported it to premiere pro in the right way.
However I can’t drag it to the timeline.
It appears with all the other MOGRTs in PP and the stock ones drag on just fine. But mine won’t.
Does it need to be precomposed or rendered or something before I click export? Or do I need to manually add it from somewhere?
cheers
Brad

In AfterEffects mogrt work, it's best to 'export' a mogrt to a Library, then in Premiere, you access it from the EGP or your Library panel.
Did you export the mogrt to a Library in AfterEffects?
Jarle Leirpoll wrote a good ebook on making mogrts in Ae, to be distributed and used in Pr. Adobe 'bought' it from him, and makes it available free ... it would probably be a good help for your work.

Hi Neil,
Thank you for responding so quickly and also for the link to the MOGRT book. I will be sure to check it out!
No I didn't originally export it to the Library. I am not 100% sure where the original one went as I don't know where the particular folder it automatically came up with went to.
I have just recently saved it to a folder on an external SSD that is plugged in all the time. My MacBook is almost full so I am trying to do everything to keep it down.
When I went to manually import the file into PP via the Essential Graphics assets panel, it came up with a message stating that I need to update PP. I am on v13.0 so thought that I was on the latest.
I am now attempting the upgrade and fingers crossed that solves the issue. It's a shame that PP doesn't provide you with an alert right in PP Essential Graphics if something is wrong.
I will keep you posted on the result and hopefully this helps someone else!
Cheers

Actually Neil, one key question. Can I continue to use my current version of Premiere Pro whilst the new version downloads?
It is coming down very slowly, so I ideally want to crack on with other projects!
Kind regards
Brad

Make sure you have something in the timeline before you drag a mogurt. Like a clip of video which you can delete after.

Thanks guys for your help. I think that it ended up being a compatibility issue between Premiere Pro and After Effects. So once I downloaded and upgraded to the newest version...Woahla!!! it works.
At least now I also know of a few extra things to have in mind and hopefully this thread helps someone.
Cheers
Brad
