can't play exported h264 and quicktime files

Hey there, i'm new in Premiere Pro cause i bought a 360 vr camera a week ago.

I've exported the first videos in h265 and there were no Problems. I can watch them with windows film & tv and with my vr-app. Now i realised, the exporting time is very long and the resolution is limited from 7680x7680 to  5968x5968 and Bitrate is restricted to 120mbit/s.
So i watched a lot of videos and got a lot of information and tried to Export in h.264 and Quick time. The Export is much faster in full resolution.

Finally, i can't watch the Videos.

With the mp4- files i get a "wrong codec"- message with error-code: 0xc00d3644
With Quicktime it tells me "This content is encoded in a format that is not supported." with error-code: 0xc00d5212

Same result on different pc or Laptops. I really tried everything to find a solution. At the moment it's not possible for me to render in best quality. Annoying.

I would be very happy about suggestions or Solutions.

It sounds like the applications that you are using do not support H264 not QuickTime.  You'll want to reach out to the respsective support teams for the vr-app and Windows Film & TV.

Are you getting the error codes from Premiere Pro when you attempt to play back the files or are you getting them from "windows film & tv and with my vr-app"?

Premiere Pro supports .mp4 encoded as H264 and several QuickTime CODECs for compression (creating the file) and decompression (playback).

Hi Warren,

i get it from the vr-app and windows film & tv. VLC is playing it but not fluently.
I tried it with the same Settings like Hugh hou here:
8K Render Export directly in Adobe Premiere Pro 12.1.2 update - YouTube

I used media Encoder and premiere pro on my Laptop and my pc. Same result.
My imported material stereoscopic left eye on top and Rendering in vr top/Bottom. With H265 everything is fine.

When i Import the exported files in premiere again i see a Picture but the preview stucks.

Any other ideas? I didnt find a solution until now.
I found a lot of discussions here of people with the same problem but no one got a right answer.
I updated my Windows OS on my Laptop and PC. Also premiere pro. I tried a lot of different Settings. But Nothing is working.
I'm really disappointed atm.

I think you are right. 2d 4k content is working.
I tried it now with the manufacturer program of insta360 and it was the same result. H264 with error message and H265 will be played. Unfortunately, h265 is limited by premiere pro in the settings of the bitrate and the resolution. I'm still looking for a way and let you know if i find one.. Thanks for your help.
