Hello, complete newb here. I have a JVC camcorder and I am trying to edit the video I made. However, I am only getting audio, but not video (although I can see the still image thumbnail for each video. I have tried a few things such as downloading quicktime for Windows (although this is no longer supported), converting files to mp4 (but it seems that the files are not supported to do that either). I am also unsure what kind of file I even have? (Does it look like a MPEG or a MOD?). I lost the software that came with my JVC camcorder, so I cannot use that to help me either. It is an old camcorder no longer supported, so I cannot download software either....any ideas? Thanks!!!!

Becky

Thank-you, Kevin. I am running Premier Pro version 13.02 (build 38). I have just purchased this through creative cloud, and have never used this program before. I have also installed the updates and restarted. I am running Windows 10. Laptop hardware:

    Hi Kevin,
Thank-you. I am not sure if you saw my reply, since I posted it as an answer on my original post. Can you see the further details I posted? Thanks

Change .mod to .mpg that might do the trick.

Best is to edit with cs6 its more forgiving.
