Dissolve Missing

Hi,

on a project in Premiere I am using a transition named "random blocks". Now I have to share the Project with my Collegues and on their machines this Dissolve is missing.

My Machine, where the "Random Blocks" Transition is present, runs Windows 10 with Premiere CC2018 (12.0.1 Build 69)

My Coworkers Machines are ceveral Macs with Premiere 12.0.1 (iMacs and MacBooks Yosemite to El Capitan i think).

I could not find out any directory where transitions are located to maybe copy the Effect. It`s not in the usual Plug-ins Folder. But this is strange anyways because it seems to be a "native" Adobe Effect on my Machine?

I dont have it either on the mac.

Are you referring to the VR Random Blocks effect? I have that on my machine. Even if you could find the effect I believe it would be in a different format on Windows than Mac, so you couldn't copy it over.

No, but kind of: on my PC there is also a Non-VR Version of this Effect and as I see now, my List under "Wipes" is containing like 17 different Wipe Effects but on my Collegues Mac it only shows 4 or 5 in that same category.

So that's maybe a missing feature on the Mac Side and not a bug? Oh. I thought collaboration is all the rage with Premiere?

Maybe someone has the answer?

I have the effect under Wipes as well using Windows 10 Pro (1709).

So, it's likely that Premiere indeed has a different Feature-Set Mac versus PC regarding it's own "native" Effects. I'm surprised : (

A few years back there was even more of a between the Mac and Windows transition and effects sets. The team did quite a bit of work to reconcile that, but it looks like some are still missing. You could always file a feature request.

Except they did it poorly.  They removed the Windows options that were missing on a Mac.  (WTF!?)

Yes we lost quit a few good transitions/effect on window.
