Export Shot List With Original File Name

Participant ,

Completing my first feature with PP. I need to create a pull list of shots for our VFX artist with original file names. The only way I can figure to do this is to duplicate the sequence, strip out all clips NOT using VFX, export an EDL and then indivdually copy the file names to a list.

That seems overcomplicated, but Adobe says there is no way to export a list of just file names from a timeline.

Hoping someone has an easier method to produce a simple pull list.

Thanks

Unfortunately Adobe’s solution seems correct. Perhaps you could submit a feature request.

Thanks, but that's just a workaround I came up with. Adobe offered no solution at all.

Hey there,

Check out Sequence Clip Reporter. We use it for shotlists with stills, timecode, clip names and filepaths all the time during the finish process for movie trailers etc. Its the only thing I know of that works and generally works well. Also requested this from adobe about a million times now. Hoping it comes at some point since PP is now a professional system and this is a definitely a pro requirement.

For anyone looking for a solution... you can export the sequence as "Avid Log Exchange" and open in a text editor. This will provide you every file name used in the sequence.
