Extremely Slow Export Times- with only 1 Adjustment Layer

I have exported a 22minute video which took about an hour.  I added 1 adjustment layer (color grading) to the whole timeline, and now the export time is projected at over 10hours.  

Am I missing a step?

Set in and out points and export a small section for a test, see how long it actually  takes. If you can apply the color correction directly to the clips you can test that also. One step you are missing is posting something about your hardware. Versions, Win/Mac, etc...
