How to make video appear in bottom left with another video?

Hey guys,

I just purchased adobe premier pro cc! It's my second time editing a video with it and I'm making a presentation-style video. During parts of the video I want to appear at the bottom part of the screen while I show another video playing in the background. What is the name of this effect in premier pro? Sorry for the dumb question I appreciate any help and suggestions in using this forum properly.

Hi there and welcome to the forums! What you’re looking for isnt an “effect” per se, but you’ll need to learn about compositing one clip on top of another (using Video Tracks 1 and 2) and then using the Motion properties in the Effect Controls panel to scale and re-position the top most clip (the one with you in it).

I’d really consider looking into a full blown course on the basics of Premiere if youre going to do more videos. Is there a way to apply this effect to multiple clips or save it as a preset?

Because at the moment, I just do it manually for each one.

Absolutely! You need to highlight the Effect names you want to save into a PReset in the Effect Controls Panel. Then right click on any of the effect names you’ve highlighted and choose Save Preset. Name it and then you can find it from now on in your Effects Panel under Presets! Just drag and drop it on top of any other clip!

Premiere has ready made presets build in.

Look in the Effects tab under Presets/PIP's 25%.
