How to remove mirror effect?

I created a custom transition with the mirror effect, but a few seconds after the Adjustment Layer for the transition ends, my video returns to mirror effect for a fraction of a second. How do I remove this mirror effect after my transition?

An Adjustment layer affects all layer.

Make sure it covers just the part of the video you want to use for the effect.

The adjustment layer covers the part of the video I want the effect on, but the new mirror effect still happens. The adjustment layer ends before the new mirror effect starts. When the new mirror effect started there is no adjustment layer on that, so I'm not sure where the mirror effect is coming from. How do I remove this mirror effect?

Do you have the mirror effect on the clip also?

Best way is to delete everything and start over instead of figuring out what is going wrong.
