Hello,
I imported a video.mov into Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017. The video duration is 14:49 but when imported into Premiere it was speeded up incredibly to only 1:03.
I tried to convert .mov to .mp4. Once imported the result is still the same. I imported other videos, it is also speeded up like that.
However when I import sound mp3 it plays normal. ![]()
Any help appreciated!
Thank you

Is the imported clip only a portion of the original duration or is the entire video length condensed down to 1:03? Is the playback sped up?

Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?
Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing - For Windows Internet Explorer press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard, and then do CTRL-V to paste the screen print from the clipboard into a forum message

Dear Dinsoaur McNugget,
I am sorry for your inconvenience. First of all, have you installed the recent updates ? This could fix the issue.
From what device is the video you are trying to import? Do you know at what frame rate the video is ?
It could be that it is set to variable frame rat, a recording method used in phones and most screen capture programs.
However, depending on various factors the rate of frames recorded could be as low as 15.
Check your sequence settings, of both your clips and the sequence, it could be that the sequence frames per second rate does not match your imported clips.
You can also change the playback speed of an individual clip by right clicking on it and choosing Speed/Duration.
Another option could be to change the Audio Hardware Default Input to No Input to fix a fast playback issue.
Best wishes

If this is phone footage or screencapture
convert to constant framerate with handbrake first before bringing it into Premiere
