Large video file extracting in M4V instead of MP4

I am very frustrated I have extracted my video 3 time at 5 hours each and I am getting the same issue.  For some reason the audio is getting separated from the video, and I can't play either.  I downloaded a converter and got the video into MP4 instead of M4V, but now I can't combine the audio.  I went back in to PP with my new extracted video and added the audio track and then re extracted, but still they won't combine.

Any help would be great.  I have never had this issue extracting video and audio together before.  How in the heck can I get them combined in a format that will paly????

M4V is a video only version of MP4, as M4A is the audio only version.

To get an MP4, you need to export both video and audio and make sure the Multiplexer is set to MP4.

These were my setting and I check the Multiplexer due to what I read online.

They still come out separate every time.

Yup, that will give you an MP4.  Wait until you get the green checkmark in Adobe Media Encoder.

What do you mean by "extracted"?

What exactly are you doing?

What camera shot this footage? What is the original format?
