Hi, I am trying to generate an 10 Bit 4K UHD HDR AV Show based on a selection of 16 Bit TIF images.
I can import the TIF images with the media encoder if I select the HEVC (H.265) codec, choose 4K UHD setting, and adjust profile to main10, level 5.2, High, Rec.2020 primary colors and rendering with maxiaml depth. This works fine.
The resulting MP4 video shows all these settings (using MediaInfo to verify).
However, this video is shown on a new 10 Bit Panasonic TV without HDR enabling.
For this, I suppose that I have to select the option 'High Dynamic Range' in the media encoder, which becomes selectable if main10 and BT.2020 is selected first.
However, if I select this HDR option, than the media encoder import does no longer work and fails with the following error code (-2147483648):

Any idea why media encoder fails to import 16 Bit images with HDR option enabled (although it imports without this option)?
I found it a bit strange too to post this problem in a user forum, but it was the advice of the Adobe Support chat.
But meanwhile there are good news for this problem:
The latest software update yesterday for Premiere Pro/Media Encoder solved my problems.
I can now generate HEVC 10 Bit HDR videos on my windows 7 plattform.
In addition, I received today an email by Adobe support informing me that my problem should be resolved by the new update.
This issue is resolved :-)!

The above error is reproducible on two of my environments:
- windows 7 64 bit professional PC with Asus mainboard P7P55D and NVidea / Gainworth grafic card Geforce 9800 GT
- windows 7 64 bit professional Sony Laptop VPCZ21 with Intel (laptop) + AMD (docking station) grafic card/chip
The above adobe error code is undocumented by adobe,
adobe chat support sees itself unable to assist in any way,
adobe itself does not provide any response on error report provided via official form.
It seems that adobe just accepts this error siuation and will not provide any support.
I tested the same situation on a mac air notebook of a friend and there the HEVC codec works as expected with no error.
Seems adobe supports macs in a much better way.

This is really more of a user forum than Adobe Tech Support.
Unfortunately, I'm not able to help with this myself.
