ok i have found all these forums how too etc and I've been at this now 15 hours trying to figure it out
please help !!
its only showing software only and its running slower then my other macbook pro thats a 8 gig i5

The answer is in your GPU computation info. That integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 does not meet minimum GPU performance requirements for the GPU acceleration to work at all. Therefore, your laptop is permanently locked to the MPE software-only mode. (It might as well do that anyway in that older MBP since GPU rendering with the integrated graphics would have been as slow as or slower than software-only rendering.) Whereas your other MacBook Pro may either be a newer model or has a discrete GPU.

any suggestions ? because i purposely bought this upgradeable mac for editing reason only external graphics card could that work ?
