my project have turned into unix executable files

New Here ,

Here is a complicated situation.  I have an external doc that I use for editing with premiere pro.

I have the main drive and a backup drive. today I had the backup drive in the doc, I pulled it out without ejecting first and

put the main drive into the same slot. The main drive came up on the desktop as the backup but there are no files on the drive just

3 files with a name that read (fc and a string of numbers). the kind of files says it's a Unix executable the time stamp on that folder is the time that I last opened the

main folder. i can't open the unix and nothing eles is showing up 6 days of work seems to have dissapeared. i had not backed up for the last 6 days.

How do i recover the this project and the related files? the drive appears to be almost full. but there is nothing on it that i can see.

Help.

You are using Mac or Windows, if your using Mac than you can try repairing your Hard disk running first aid in "DISK UTILITY" in Mac. If it is Windows you have worked, it could be virus or malware which may be removed using an Anti-malware / virus scan.
