Anyone else having trouble with their titles? I will create a title, and when I plop it into my sequence, the render bar above and after it turns red. AND I cannot see the title. When I render the title it finally appears; the render bar above it is green and what's after it in the seq returns to yellow. So I thought the secret was just to render all my titles as I went.
Nay.
Spontaneously at any point, if there are titles in my seq, my the entire render bar will just turn red. I can't see any footage at all anymore and it says "media pending". The only thing that brings my footage back and makes it possible to edit is to disable the title clips.
I'm working from version 14.1. Got a very powerful iMac, so I know it's not the computer.
Thanks for any advice!
There is a known issue in 14.1 when using the Legacy Titles: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-solve-low-level-exception-error-after-updating-to-premiere-pro-14-1/td-p/11050854?page=1

I've got no answers for you, but using the Essential Graphics Panel, we don't 'plop' titles anymore. Are you using that or the "Legacy" titler?

I am indeed using the "legacy" titler. Could that be the problem? I don't know what this "Essential Graphics Panel" is, but if it's an alternative that could save me from this render-bar-hell, I'll look into it.

You can find plenty of tutorials online to get the basic gist of using the tool. The quickest way to get started is to simply use the text tool (default key 'T') to write onto your video in the Program Monitor. It will create a new Essential Graphics text layer that you can then edit in the Essential Graphics Panel (Window>Essential Graphics, if it's not already open for you.)
This article can also give you an overview of some of the many things you can do: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/essential-graphics-panel.html

Yes, I would give up on the Legacy Titler. Having 'legacy' in the name means there will be little to no support on that feature.
If you use the Text tool (T) you can simply click on the program monitor and enter text there, no plopping needed! 🙂
You could also make use of the "Graphics" workspace, select that from the workspace bar or under the Window\Workspaces menu. In the Essential Graphics screen/tab you can set many properties for the text fields and there are also some items in the Effects control panel. Check out the link PhillipJ sent and also just google essential graphics premiere pro and you'll come up with a bunch of tutorials.
