timeline Audio waveform displays wrong data

This is the first time I encountered this bug.

After Capturing my sudio anchor for the morning promo as I do everyday I put the pertinent segment in a timeline, but when I came to adjust levels I realized waveform data when there was silence and and none when there was voice.

It was not like it was inverted but more like it was way out of sync. But the actual audio was in sync. Very strange.

So, I tried resarting the software 3 different times. no change.

I deleted all the preview files. no change.

I restarted the computer . no change

I compared the source monitor audio. same problem

But when I exported to Audition the extracted replacement showed the proper data.
