I want to choose the quality (bit rate) when exporting

Why is there no advanced options to choose things like the quality (bit rate) it says high quality but doesn't let me change it to medium or low quality. I only have (very limited) control over resolution and frame rate, not quality, let alone codec...

Hi,

This isn't possible on Rush mobile. It will work on the desktop if you create a new encoding preset in Media Encoder and drop it into the proper folder in Rush's Library, I believe. I've done that to change export settings in the past.

Cheers,
Kevin

Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concern regarding the lack of advanced options for adjusting quality settings like bit rate, codec, and others. For more control over the quality, resolution, frame rate, and codec, we recommend using Adobe Premiere Pro, which offers a wider range of export settings to fine-tune your video output.

Create a new encoding preset on Desktop, using another app, then connect phone to computer and dig around for that buried file and put it in this equally buried subfolder on mobile, then access it via Rush..?

Completely, totally ridiculous process - let alone for an app that's all about getting a job done quickly.. There's nothing quick about any of that, not exporting in a completely inappropriate format because the encoding options are ridiculously limited for absolutely no reason at all. Just add an "advanced" button or "more encoding options" and everyone will be happier. Really easy.

Apologies, Rush was not designed for this level of customizability. I was letting you know how to work around the issue. I am not on the product team, so I cannot add any of these features. I am in support. I will let the team know about your feature request, though. Check out a trial of Premiere Pro if you need these features for this project, if you like.

Sorry for the frustration.

Cheers,
Kevin

Sorry that this functionality is not available, @lflegg. FWIW, I have added new encoder presets for certain workflows in Rush and they can work for exporting with more customized settings (I believe mine was for a previously unavailable frame rate). It would be way better to have at least a few more controls for exports, agreed. Have a great weekend!

Cheers,
Kevin
