Import video from files and it imports me a video with the same number but from another file

Hi guys 

I am on editing/ choose from Files to import a video -as an example C005

system brings a video with the same number , BUT from another file and not the one i choose

i need to go out , rename the name of the video and after its ok. 

It's very difficult and it takes time when i have a lot of videos to work with - and usually in have a lot

what do you suggest ;;;

I read your note, and I think I can understand the problem. As an editor, you may want to rename the files before importing them. Video editing starts at the OS level, usually, when it comes to organization. There are various free tools to help you batch rename. Adobe Bridge has the feature, and it is what I use. I hope the info helps.
