Using mouse and keyboard on iPad, I can not scroll through the timeline

Hey community

I really hope someone will be able to help me with this. I am new to premier rush. I'm using it on my iPad with a keyboard and mouse attached to it. I try to scroll through the timeline with the mouse either by using the scroll wheel or clicking and dragging with the mouse but nothing seems to work. It works fine if I use my finger on the iPad. Also I am not able to resize text or other graphic by clicking and dragging. Again only works with touch. Please can some assist me in this.

Hi @taylor_8732,
Welcome to Premiere Rush! I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the mouse and keyboard on your iPad. I understand how frustrating things are when things don’t work as expected.

Premiere Rush is optimized for touch input on iPads, which is why you’re experiencing issues with the mouse and keyboard. Here are a few suggestions that might help:

  1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both your iPadOS and Premiere Rush are up to date. Updates can sometimes include improvements for accessory compatibility.
  2. Use Touch for Now: While it may not be ideal, using touch to scroll through the timeline and resize text or graphics is the best workaround.
  3. Feedback to Developers: Your feedback is valuable. I’ll pass your experience to our development team to improve mouse and keyboard support in future updates.

I hope this helps. Thank you for your patience as we work to enhance the app. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Best,

Kevin
