Images in FM to Robohelp blurry

New Here ,

I am at my wits end trying to figure out why all my images imported from my Framemaker document to Robohelp 8 are blurry! I assume Robohelp is resizing them somehow. How do I prevent this or save my images so that this does not happen. I have a very unhappy client on my hands and I cannot figure this out! Help!

There are a couple of threads with numerous comments in this forum. Perform a search for this information and you should find something more comprehensive on the subject.

The fuzzy/distorted image issue is a known problem with the FH-to-RH conversion. Adobe has yet to come out with a patch for 1.x users (I'm not sure if this is still a problem with 2.x). In my experience, we typically use PNG files, which seem to convert cleanly; however, the moment I add a FM object, such as an arrow or call-out text inside the anchored frame, RH distorts the image when converted into my help project.

I really wish Adobe would address this issue, along with the project corruption problem that continues to affect many users.

I guess it's not as easy as simply converting the files from tif to png, eh? I did that and they are still blurry. Thanks anyway.

Hi there

If an image is blurry it is likely because its size is being changed somewhere along the way. That is, assuming the format hasn't changed. For example, converting from .GIF to .JPG or something like that.

Cheers... Rick
