Hi,
Robo 7.0.3 HTML
I was wondering if it is possible to control revision/version numbering of a CHM file from within RoboHelp. This meta information will allow us to easily check the version number of a CHM when a patch is installed. (I'd like to avoid the timestamp.)
Can this be done at all, or is there another good way of checking version of an existing CHM?
Greet and thanks,
Willam

I usually include product version and help version in the Project Title, then it displays in the title bar of webhelp and chms.

But can an installer check the project title? It seems to me that the title of the project is not stored in the properties of the generated CHM.

Sorry, I thought you wanted to know if a user had got the new help or not so that support could check that.

Hi Willam
For what it's worth, Peter's suggestion is what I would have suggested as well.
Aside from that my guess is the best bet is to use variations of the CHM file name. But that will likely have an adverse effect on any Context Sensitive stuff you may have going on.

Ok, I'll check with the developer to see what he prefers.
Thanks for the help.
