Videos - Standard License

Community Beginner ,
Apr 10, 2025 Apr 10, 2025

Hi,

I've always managed to access videos in the past as part of my plan but all of a sudden it's trying to charge me for an enhanced license. In the past i was charged 6 credits from my account but now it wants to charge me £47.00 for each video. I've searched and every single video is classed as enhanced. Is this normal or has something changed on my account because i've not had a notification to say anything is changing?

I was speaking to someone via chat yesterday but was told someonoe will get back to me within 48 hours. I have a deadline though and really need to get this sorted.

Thanks

There never was a video standard licence. Videos always had an enhanced licence, and the price depends on the resolution (4k or HD).  Check the number of plan credits that you have. If you run out of credits, aditional buys will be charged.

For more information, you should tell us the assets you want to licence.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply

I have hundreds of credits. I seem to have more than I should have so not sure what's gone on there.

The person I spoke to on the chat (from Adobe support ) said the reason i can't access them is because they are enhanced and I need to pay for the extra license. As i said before though, the videos i've downloaded in the past were all enhanced and like you say, all videos are enhanced licenses.

I want to download a video for a website (File ID 143952663), literally every video I go to though it's trying to charge me.

What credits do you have? Unfortunately, the generative AI credits are also called credits, but they can't be used for licensing assets on stock.

And it depends on your plan if you can licence video. All standard plans allow now for videos to be licensed.

I've been able to access videos in the past with no issues. There is definiitely a problem with my account as i'm logged in, have a monthly subscription that i've had for years (i've never made chnages to the subscription either) and it is trying to get me to access a free trial now.

Here's the screenshot with the amout of assets i have available. This is also more than i should have. I should only have about 300

@Ross5C75 - Could you please check if you are still not able to use your plan credits to purchase a video asset?

Same exact issue here. I pay $79.99 a month for my plan, i have plenty of credits and have always in the past downloaded video for around 6 credits each. All of a sudden, every single video i try to download, I'm being charged cash for. I've also looked through a lot of different videos and they all say "enhanced".Screenshot 2025-04-30 at 7.04.22 AM.png

Hello @andrewt81757952 - you should now be temporarily unblocked and able to license video assets. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Thank you, what do you mean by "temporarily unblocked" though? Is this feature changing or are the plans going to change?

Now there's new tabs i've never seen, 16 credits and 442 assets? 16 credits will get me only 2 HD videos. My plan clearly states 6 videos/month. Something has to be changing with these plans, Adobe needs to put out communications soon. This will defintely make me take up service with another stock provider.

I am having the exact same issue. I have been been $79.99 amonth for 3 years and recently have not been able to get any videos. There are no credits showing in my account even though I'm supposed to recieve 6 credits in my account a month and havent received any for AT least the past 6 months, I also have 400+ credits. I have been chatting with support for 2 hours and have been transferred 4 times. Now I'm expecting to receive a call in the next 24 hours. This is making me consider cancelling my account and switching to shutterstock.

Same thing going on, now the "credits" disappeared and I all of a sudden have over 400 "assets". Support told me i can't download "extended license" videos but the ones i want are listed as "Enhance". Regardless, my $79.99 plan says i get 6 video downloads a month, but ANY video i try to download wants me to pay $79.99. I'm to the point of assuming no support will resolve this, it's been over a month dealing with support and nobody helps. If this isn't resolved I'm leaving adobe stock.

I was told I’m on a promotional plan and need to be moved to a different one. Strangely, the new plan costs the same and offers the same monthly allowance. Customer Support emailed to ask if I was happy for them to make the switch, but moments later I received another email saying the ticket had been closed. Now it looks like I have to start the whole process again.

Videos come under an enhanced licence. If your plan includes videos, you should be able to download videos. The plans that I know about all include video, but some specific plans could not include videos or extended licences. Those plans are mostly unlimited plans.

I pay $79.99 a month (paid annually). Clearly states the plan comes with video.
