Hello,

'...what was wrong in this image and not usable for the photo stock market? '

Firstly, clean the stove top!

What are you trying to say with this image?

What are you cooking?

Why show a dirty stove top?

The image is not appealing, so form a commercial point of view, I don't think it has any commercial value.

From a quality perspective you have noise:

This image might be rejected on the basis of lack of commercial appeal - I'm not sure how a Buyer would want to use the image - other than as an ad for cleaning products !

…and as a bad example of a dirty kitchen. 😉 You know, dirty things are difficult to get. I once was sent out to film a heap of industrial dump. They cleaned up the site before we arrived. Even that we promised not to tell the site's location and that the dump was only a temporary storrage before recycling, they preferred us to film a nearly empty place. It was frustrating.

So indeed, from that pov, I love this stove.

Assuming the rejection reason was Quality Issues (you should always supply the header of the rejection text when asking for assistance here), the Histogram shows lack of detail in the blacks/shadows and burnt out highlights. The fact that the stove top is extra dirty could also be a factor, but that's just a guess.
