Hi, I’m New Here—What Are the Trending & High-Demand AI Images?

Hi everyone,

I’m brand new to the Adobe Stock Contributor community and thrilled to join you all! I’ve recently started experimenting with AI-generated images and want to contribute content that buyers love. I’d really appreciate your guidance—what types of AI images are trending and in high demand right now?

I’ve been playing with abstract designs so far, like vibrant geometric patterns and fluid, colorful compositions. Are these styles on the right track, or are there other themes and subjects (maybe futuristic scenes, nature-inspired art, or seasonal concepts) that you’ve seen perform well lately? I’d love to hear from experienced contributors about what’s selling and any tips on spotting trends or making AI images stand out.

Thanks so much for your help—I’m excited to learn from this amazing community and start contributing!

Best,

Techub

I'll be honest with you: Adobe Stock has become over-saturated with AI. I was making more AI sales over a year ago when I only had 2000 AI assets available than I'm making now with over 5500 assets. And the competition gets tougher every day. Abstract art and geometric shapes probably won't result in a lot of sales. In fact, everything you listed is probably over-represented on Adobe Stock at this point. My strongest sales are and have always been those of people, food, and on occasion, animals and abstract graphic resources, though the latter is especially rare.

I'm not trying to dissuade you from participating, but be aware that the assets you submit must stand out among millions of others. Use descriptive titles and keywords, and keep in mind that most buyers are businesses that have little interest in, for example, fantasy art. Geometric shapes and abstract backgrounds are available for free all over the internet, and anyone with even a modicum of experience with AI can create their own.

Whenever possible, it's better to be a trendsetter instead of a follower. The big fish in a small pond is easier to see.

As an example, this keyword phrase has only 230 submissions, so there's not much competition from other inventory.

It's in demand now, but 6 months from now that could change.

I would say AI Robots are in the trend, as many are posting refusals of AI generated female robots with half open brains…

One rule in the community of competition is, that when you have a nice niche selling countless assets, you would not like to have others jumping on your niche trend. That's why adobe publishes what they think what sells. You need to look into that.

Stock already contains billions of abstracts, patterns, wallpapers & backgrounds.  The competition from free & paid inventory is fierce, thus your sales potential will be much lower than it would be with less represented content.

Trending styles & colors change with the weather. One day they're hot, the next day they're not.

Content that's consistently in demand are commercial quality photos & videos representing diversity, lifestyle, education, travel, nature, tech, medicine and business.

Global customers will use their own fonts & languages, so leave plenty of space around subjects for additional text.

Carefully read your Contributor User Guide for more tips.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the insights, Nancy! You’re spot-on about the oversaturation of abstracts, patterns, and wallpapers on Stock—competition is intense with so much free and paid content already out there. I’ve checked the links, and it’s clear that niche, high-demand categories like diverse lifestyle, tech, or commercial-grade photos/videos might offer better sales potential. I’ll dig into the Contributor User Guide and focus on creating with trending demands and global flexibility in mind. Appreciate the guidance!
