How can I improve the quality of my photo?

Oct 18, 2025 Oct 18, 2025

When I tried to upload my recently taken photos to stock, they were rejected for poor quality. Can you advise me on how to improve them?

In addition to the underexposure and white balance issue, it's a messy composition. Take a look at some other images of cakes in the database to get an idea of what is considered to be sufficient quality for stock.

These look like phone camera snapshots taken indoors without a flash and uploaded to Stock without any corrections.

That's not how we do things here.  Stock customers expect commercial quality assets for use in professional projects. They won't pay for images that aren't even worthy of posting on social media.

Your images are poorly lit & lack details & proper composition. That's why Stock rejected them for Quality issues.

The image is too dark.

Please try taking a brighter picture.

Severely underexposed, poor composition, and an odd color cast. I attempted to make some quick corrections, but I think it's a lost cause.

Photography is a lot more than point & click. If you're serious about learning photography, enroll in some online courses & practice, practice, practice.

Good luck.
