Option to upload photos and videos using SFTP disappeared

New Here ,
Jun 17, 2024 Jun 17, 2024

I want to upload my illustrations using SFTP.
It worked successfully since yesterday. Now that option disappeared and I can't connect to SFTP server using existing credentials anymore.

Thanks for your message. I would like to inform you that only qualified accounts can use SFTP to upload files. If you do not see the SFTP upload option in the contributor portal, you will need to use the drag and drop method and upload your files directly via the portal. No. Nothing from this list helps.
As I mentioned, I lost not only the link in the UI, but as well SFTP connection that worked before.

Same happened to me and my wife. Different acocunts. It is definitely a new bug. It is definitely not a cache thing, nobody ever logged in there from the laptop i've tested. Tried switching to other network as well.  Region: Turkey

This is what Adobe also told me, but when I upload a file using my portal as they instructed, this is what happens: I get an ERROR even though my file is valid. The portal says my file is invalid. I don't know how to upload my files at this point if this restriction continues indefinitely.

Adobe, I hope you can bring back the previous method that allowed us contributors to freely use SFTP like we used to. We are willing to follow the platform's guidelines, but when I upload a file through the portal as for instruction, I encounter errors and the file is not accepted. Unlike before, when a warning appeared on the portal, the upload through SFTP was still successful.

Create a small test file. Upload that. If you get an error, upload that test file here. We will have a look into it.

The small files do not have any problems when uploading, but my file is large, which is why the portal marks it as invalid. There is a file size limit for uploading directly on the portal. Just like before, when I still had the SFTP option, the error files were uploaded successfully using SFTP. Now, since the SFTP option has been removed, it is impossible to upload files larger than 300MB.

Contact Adobe contriputor support and ask them to enable sftp for you, as you have a size issue. That's all I can recommend for now. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/Need-Help-Contact-Us.html

The option to use SFTP doesn't appear.  Now I understand that only the qualified accounts get that option.  How can I be "qualified"?

I don't think any of us knows how to become qualified. Perhaps it has to do with account seniority. I have the option on my account which has been active for over 8 years, though I've never upload via SFTP.

There were people reporting that the option disapeared. I'm not quite sure about that, however. Formerly, you needed to use sFTP to upload video (or you needed sending in a harddisk!), but Adobe now accepts drag and drop for video.

I was able to upload 4MB photos by drag & drop for testing but not 3GB video which is what I really want to do.

You should retry with an asset under 2 Gb, but near to 2 Gb..
